Voices in Harmony is always looking for good singers to be a part of our award-winning ensemble. We welcome visitors to every rehearsal, for those interested in learning more in a fun, supportive environment.
Our current membership includes over 90 men from all walks of life: high school and college students, CEOs, construction workers, venture capitalists, plumbers, teachers.... What we share is a love of singing and the pursuit of musical excellence. Our experienced director and music team provide one-on-one coaching and vocal workshops throughout the year. You'll find no better environment to help you make the most of your voice, and have fun doing it.
Qualified guests are welcome to audition through an assessment of vocal range, pitch accuracy, and ability to harmonize. You may also be asked to perform a song of your choosing in a private setting. A formal background in singing is not required, though most of our members have received vocal training at some point in their lives.

Voices in Harmony is an award-winning, all-volunteer, 80+ voice male chorus known for its commitment to musical excellence and mastery of technically demanding close harmony. Its repertoire is diverse and encompasses music from the classics to jazz, contemporary to pop, traditional choral selections and barbershop. Voices in Harmony was founded in 2006 and is based in San Jose, California. Under the masterful musical direction of Dr. Greg Lyne, VIH has rapidly become one of the finest a cappella choruses in the world. Its members hail from all over Northern and Central California — from Sacramento to Fresno and San Francisco to Modesto. VIH competes annually through the Barbershop Harmony Society, its professional organization — and after only two years, became the 2008 International 3rd Place Medalist Chorus. In 2009, VIH again qualified as one of top 28 choruses (out of 800 worldwide) and will represent Northern California in the 2010 international competition to be held June 29 through July 4, in Philadelphia, PA. Currently seeded 5th in this competition, the goal is to take Philly by storm and show the audience of 10,000 music lovers what Northern Californians can do.
