VIH is home to several quartets, each with their own special flavor, and all of whom are available for bookings.
Brannigan (Chris Lewis, Jon Pilla, Gabe Lotto, and Julian Kusnadi) is one of VIH's newest quartets, having performed for the first time at VIH's 2013 holiday show, Not (Just) Another Holiday Concert!. They made their competition debut in February 2014 at the FWD Northern California Novice Quartet Contest, following in First Strike's footsteps with a first-place finish. In summer 2014, they qualified for and competed at the Barbershop Harmony Society's International Collegiate Quartet Contest, where they placed 13th. Outside of competition, they enjoy leveraging their years of singing experience outside of barbershop to arrange and perform their own music from many genres, including selections from the pop, jazz, musical theater, and classical repertoires.
The Delta Dons
The Delta Dons (Ken Hitch, Chris Finetti, Rick Spero, and Jeff Asbury) are another of VIH's newest quartets, performing for the first time on VIH's 2013 holiday show. Hailing from the East Bay, the foursome was recently cast in as the school board members in the Brentwood Theater Company's Summer 2014 production of Meredith Wilson's The Music Man.
The “Spellbound” quartet was formed in February 2014 and is comprised of four experienced Barbershoppers from the San Francisco Bay Area: Jim Sherman (bass), Steve Kirch, (baritone), Steve Sammonds (lead), and Paul Engel (tenor). Spellbound is the 2016 Far Western District Senior Quartet Champion and is representing the Bay Area, Palo Alto / Mountain View and Whittier Chapters in the Barbershop Harmony Society.
